Randy
Armstrong—Scoring for Film, Theatre,
|
||
Over the past thirty years Randy Armstrong has composed,
recorded and produced musical scores for film, television, theater and
dance. Highlighted film, television and video projects include the original
soundtrack for the four-part PBS series, Dinner
on the Diner premiered
nationally in June 2000; the documentary films Lotte Jacobi: A Film Portrait
and Emigration: A Franco
American Experience and the environmental video Finding
a Solution. In
2007,
Randy contributed music to the documentary film A
League of Our Own,
celebrating the 75th anniversary of the League of N.H. Craftsmen.
Theatre
and dance scores include Pontine
Movement Theatre's productions Journey to Heaven — the Shaker
Way and Correspondence
of Desire — the Story of Aberlard and Heloise, Touchstone
Theatre's
production, Seven
Mysteries of Life and New Hampshire Theatre Project's Beyond
Myth as
well as numerous other projects including guided imagery soundscapes
and record production.
In 2009, he composed, performed and recorded original music for the
NH
Theatre Project presentation of Hamlet by William Shakespeare.
The music score was funded in part by a grant from Meet
the Composer, Inc. and The New England Foundation for the Arts. He
also contributed music for a film on
life of the Dalai Lama for The Tom Lantos Human Rights Prize Award Ceremony
in 2009 in Washington D.C.
